Abstract
Two new sugars, apparently analogues of sucrose, were obtained in impure form by use of a phosphorylase prepn. from Pseudomonas saccharophila. The synthetic compds. appear to be glucosido-sorboside and glucosido-ketoxyloside, respectively. They have neither been previously synthesized nor found in nature. They are very unstable in acid and are not attacked by yeast invertase. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
