Fourteen dimensions of temperament.

Abstract
"The purpose of this investigation was to re-examine the potential evidence for and against the existence of the 13 factors purported to be measured by the Guilford-Martin personality inventories." Based on the results, the authors conclude that: (1) "The number of dimensions needed to account for the intercorrelations is at least 14, the number that could not be considered as residual factors." (2) It was found desirable to modify to some extent most of the factors and as a result of these changes "a revised list of the properties of each factor" is included; and (3) they conclude that "better writing can do much to discriminate among the factors and to clarify information about their inter-correlations.
