Influence of Small Doses of Heparin on Fat Tolerance Curves in vivo and in vitro.

Abstract
By the use of a well standardized fat tolerance test, the effects of small doses of heparin (5 mg./M2 surface area) on the clearing of serum in vivo was demonstrated. In vitro incubation of lipemic sera with cleared post-heparin sera also resulted in clearing of the turbid mixture. Furthermore, those individuals who cleared well in vivo cleared well in vitro. This was true not only for their own sera but also when their sera was mixed with turbid sera of other individuals.
