Abstract
A scanning method is described to directly record absorption spectra of crystals in the region between 1200 and 2400 Å. This attachment to a Seya‐Namioka monochromator can be used for measurements at very low temperatures. A part of the beam is used as a reference while the other part is passing through the crystal. The logarithm of ratio of the two intensities is recorded. Keywords
