Abstract

Extraction of 32 kgm. of muscle with 128 l of water at 70[degree] and purification by usual methods yielded 19.7 gm. of methyl agmatine (C6H16N4) as the picrate, 68 gm. of betaine and a small quantity of the chloroplatinate of an unidentified substance, C27H34N5O8. The constitution of the latter is being investigated.
