Abstract
It is shown that the energy factors of infinite straight dislocations and that the stresses of piecewise straight dislocation configurations can be expressed quite simply in terms of the Green's functions of elasticity. The forces at dislocation bends are examined, and it is shown that the forces can be expressed in terms of the energy factors and their derivatives, in agreement with line tension considerations. Keywords
