Parity-Violating and Normal Multipole Mixing Ratios of the 57-keV Gamma Transition ofHf180

Abstract
The parity-violating forward-backward asymmetry of the 57-keV γ radiation from low-temperature polarized Hf180m has been measured to be -(19.4 ± 9.2) × 104, indicating the lack of any large parity-violating effect for this very strongly hindered E1 transition, in agreement with our calculations. The M2E1 and E3E1 multipole mixing ratios of the 57-keV transition have been determined to be δ1(M2E1)=(0.0090.085+0.065) and δ2(E3E1)=+0.013±0.020.
