Abstract
We describe an electrophoretic method for the transfer of macromolecules from polyacrylamide slab gels to ion-exchange paper without loss of clarity or resolution. A series of partial transfers provides numerous copies of a single gel separation, and these copies may be assayed independently with enzyme specific stains. This method therefore combines the advantages of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for detecting enzyme variation with an efficient method for examining numerous enzymes from a single gel separation. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
