Renal Medullary Adenylate Cyclase in Drug-Induced Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus

Abstract
In rats with drug-induced nephrogenic diabetes insipidus the response of renal medullary adenylate cyclase to ADH in vitro is markedly diminished. It is suggested that this defect in hormone-dependent cyclic AMP formation could be the underlying cause of the ADH resistance as found in vivo.
