Cerebral systemic lupus erythematosus: a case report and evaluation of diagnostic tests.

Abstract
A 34 yr old woman is described who was diagnosed initially with a progressive pseudobulbar palsy. A delay of 5 mo. occurred before a diagnosis of cerebral systemic lupus erythematosus was made. Currently, available investigations for cerebral system lupus erythematosus are evaluated; the need for an easily performed specific diagnostic test is discussed.
