A Technique for Managing Exit Site and Cuff Infection in Tenckhoffcatheters

Abstract

While not life threatening, outer cuff infection is an annoying and troublesome complication. In addition, it has the potential of leading to more serious infection and subsequent catheter loss. The technique described here helps to avoid the more serious infections and yet maintains CAPD without interruption.
