Brief Communication: Attenuation of Herpesvirus saimiri for Marmosets After Successive Passage in Cell Culture at 39° C2

Abstract
A variant of Herpesvirus saimiri (HVS) stably attenuated for marmosets was isolated after serial passage of wild-type HVS in cell culture at 39° C. Marmosets previously inoculated with attenuated virus experienced a significant delay in the development of lymphoma when challenged with Wild-type HVS.
