Abstract
Thirty hyperkinetic children were given complete neurological and psychological examinations, as well as electroencephalograms. The neurological examination was abnormal in some respects in all but 1 child. Problems in visual-perceptual and visual-motor integration were noted in almost all of the cases. It is postulated that the entire syndrome is due to the lack of adequate integration of various types of perceptual modalities, as a result of minimal brain damage. Keywords
