Sarcoidosis in Identical Twins

Abstract
SINCE the original descriptions by Besnier, Boeck and Schaumann of the disease that now bears their names, many papers1 2 3 4 have adequately presented the characteristic clinical and pathological findings. However, relatively few authors have reported on the occurrence of sarcoidosis in siblings. No report has been made of sarcoidosis in twins.Leitner5 mentions several authors who have described sarcoidosis as it occurred among members of the same family.
