Abstract
Vit. A has been synthesized, and the synthetic concentrates contain neovit. A. The synthetic and natural crystals of vit. A were substantially identical in biologic potency. Assays of 2 synthetic concentrates by the maleic anhydride method indicated that the proportions of vit. A and neovit. A present were 1.5:1 and 2:1. It appears that vit. A is a mixture of 2 geometric isomers. Keywords
