Abstract
The plasma volume of various tissues of normal unanesthetized mice of the CF-1 strain was determined as the ratio of radioactivity per unit weight of tissue to the radioactivity per unit weight of plasma by injecting the mice intravenously with radioiodinated albumin, freezing them in liquid N, and assaying tissue samples for radioactivity. Results, expressed as ml plasma/g tissue, are: for the liver, .134; kidney, .085; spleen, .077; lung, .302; intestine, .034; skin, .020; and for the muscle, .024. The total circulating plasma volume was 1.027 ml.
