Abstract
A bile-secreting, transplantable hepatocellular carcinoma, with bile plugs in the canaliculi, is described in the rat. All transplants of this tumor, which has been carried for 6 generations, have shown bile pigment. This finding has not been previously reported. The tumor also contained iron and ceroid pigments. Bile pigment and iron were also present in the kidneys, in addition to a third unidentified pigment, which was probably lipofuscin.Keywords
