Abstract
A method was devised for measuring the increase in flexibility of the symphysis pubis and sacroiliac joints which occurs during pregnancy or following appropriate hormonal treatment. The animal is sacrificed and its pelvis removed and exposed. Weights are applied to produce joint flexion and a protractor is used to measure the amount of flexion in degrees. The apparatus is illustrated and the various steps of the procedure are described. Keywords
