Milk-Borne Disease in Massachusetts 1930-1932

Abstract
This deals with material assembled to form a 6th periodic survey of milk-borne disease in the State. It represents information in regard to milk production and consumption collected by questionnaires from communities representing 83% of the population; and information in regard to milk-borne epidemics from communicable disease records. The facts and trends are summarized in 10 tables. There has been no decrease in consumption of milk; 85% of the milk of the State is pasteurized. There has been an increase in bacteriological control of milk. Milk-borne disease is at a low ebb; what there is, is spread by raw-milk supplies.
