Abstract
Three cases of kala-azar successfully treated with amphotericin B are described. Biopsy specimens of the liver and bone marrow smears were negative for leishmania organisms after the treatment. Concomitantly there was a disappearance of clinical symptoms and improvement in laboratory data. Keywords
