Detection of Order in Ni3Co

Abstract

Measurements of the variation of oxidation rate of nickel‐cobalt alloys with composition and of the variation of saturation magnetization and thermal emf of Ni₃Co with temperature show that Ni₃Co has a tendency to order at low temperatures. The critical temperature of ordering is shown to be 773±1°C.
