Temperature dependence of the polarized Raman spectra ofZnWO4single crystals

Abstract

The 18 vibrational modes expected from group-theoretical analysis have been obtained in the polarized Raman spectra of ${\mathrm{ZnWO}}_4$ single crystals. The six internal modes of the ${\mathrm{WO}}_6$ octahedra have been assigned. The temperature dependence of the frequencies and linewidths of the internal modes is related to anharmonic terms in the crystal potential.
