Abstract

Psychologic assessment of the nature of personality, intellectual- and behavior- changed incident to the shock therapies is made. Characteristic changes during and after treatment, interpretations of the psychosis-modifying effects, and the results of animal experimentation are reviewed. 162 studies are listed.
