Abstract
The fluorescent "Spectra I" of in Ca consisting of approximately 45 lines are found to originate from the crystal-field split levels of the and , and free-ion states, in accord with energy-level schemes which indicate the crystal-field symmetry for Spectra I about the Dy ion to be type group. These schemes also give information on the crystal-field energy level representations and energies to 3 , preliminarily.
