Abstract
The total continuous emission coefficient for a LTE hydrogen plasma at one atmosphere is calculated for a temperature range from 8000 to 16000 K and a wavelength range from 400 to 15000 Å. Contributions involving the species H, , H-, and H2, as well as the wings of Stark-broadened hydrogen lines are included. This calculation will permit the radiation emitted from a laboratory hydrogen plasma to be used as a high intensity spectral radiance calibration standard.
