Abstract
The preparation of amorphous, polycrystalline and almost monoerystalline arrays of magnetic bubbles in garnet films is described together with defects which arise in them. It is shown how the state of crystallinity can be monitored by diffraction patterns. The ways in which the defects can interact are considered. Comparisons with real crystalline structures and other lattice models are drawn. Keywords
