Abstract
The hypertensinase content of dog plasma was detd. by a modification of the method of Fasciolo et al. The method was described in detail and consisted of the measurement by bio-assay in dogs of the amt. of hypertensin destroyed when 1 unit was incubated in a vol. of 10 cc. for 2 or 4 hrs. at 37[degree]C. with serial dilutions of non-hemolyzed citrated dog plasma. The plasma of normal dogs contained between 1.5 and 3.9 units of hypertensinase per cc. The hypertensinase content of plasma of dogs nephrectomized 48 hrs. previously and of dogs rendered hypertensive by renal ischemia was normal. Keywords
