ABILITY OF SPLENIC LYMPHOCYTES FROM INJURED RATS TO INDUCE A GRAFT-VERSUS-HOST REACTION

Abstract
The ability of spleen cells from rats subjected to a standard burn or surgical injury to induce a graft-versus-host (GVH) reaction was measured by means of a modified popliteal node assay. Results showed a severe depression of the GVH reaction for a period of about 1 week. This depression was not abolished by prior donor adrenalectomy.
