A Note on the Tribe Mimeae (De Bord)

Abstract
19 cultures were isolated, 8 classified in the genus Mima, 10 as Herellea and 1 as Colloides. Three strains in the genus Mima were recovered from therapy-resistant gonorrhea, 3 from war wounds, 1 from a chancroid lesion and 1 from brain tissue. 9 of the 10 cultures classified as Herellea were recovered from cerebrospinal fluid following head injury and one from urine following an operation for ureteral stricture. The single culture placed in the genus Colloides was recovered from a clinical case of "gas gangrene." One strain in the genus Mima, all of the strains classified as Herellea, and the single strain of Colloides were lethal to guinea pigs when injd. intraperit. Autopsy findings showed inflammation of the adrenal glands and organisms in the heart''s blood.
