Abstract
An epidemiological study was made of 8,462 children aged 3-15 living in the suburban area Hag Yousif, Khartoum, Sudan. The prevalence of enuresis was higher in boys than in girls. Eighty-eight per cent wetted their beds at least several times per week. Up to the age of 9 both sexes showed prevalences which were significanty higher than comparable age/sex groups discussed in different European studies. Only 5% of the children above 7 years of age had secondary enuresis. Keywords
