Abstract
We have observed very strong signals in TiBe2 from 1.4 K up to 300 K at 10 GHz. The signals have the following features : 1) metallic line shape; 2) g = 1.98 ± 0.01 in most of the temperature range; 3) the line width remains almost constant at 50 G up to 10 K, it then increases nearly linearly with temperature up to 150 K at a rate of 3.7 G/K and more slowly at higher temperatures. On the basis of this ensemble of observations we propose that TiBe2 is an enhanced susceptibility metal, like Pd, in agreement with susceptibility, high field magnetization measurements, specific heat, and neutron diffraction resultsKeywords
