THE PREDICTION OF TRAJECTORIES OF EVAPORATING OR BURNING DROPLETS

Abstract
The trajectories of evaporating or burning droplets are predicted using a numerical method which takes into account heat and mass transfer, variable mass, drag and lift. The droplet is assumed spherical, and the flowfield is given analitically or numerically. The effect of the main parameters is shown through computed examples among which are swirling flows with and without recirculation.
