Abstract
The lactobacillus index and the salivary lactobacillus counts increased significantly with the placement of orthodontic bands, and returned to the preband level after removal of the band. Many of the lactobacillus growth sites were on the gingival margins and edges of the bands. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
