Abstract
The decay kinetics of Tl+ UV‐emission in KCl: Tl is investigated in the wide temperature region 4.2 to 400 K. Two components — fast and slow ones are found. The results are interpreted with the help of a three level model with two excited states — radiative and metastable ones. Multiphonon nonradiative processes between these levels are involved to explain the temperature dependence of the fast component. Also the temperature dependence of transition probability between the metastable excited state and the ground state is included to improve the agreement between the experimental data and calculations. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
