Abstract
The absorption bands of secondary intensity occurring, in addition to the more pronounced members of the previously described C-H series, in the short wave-length infra-red spectra of methyl iodide, methylene chloride, methylene bromide, methylene iodide, chloroform and bromoform are accounted for on the basis of linear C-Cl, C-Br, and C-I series starting at 16.8μ, 17.2μ and 17.5μ respectively; and on the basis of simple additive combinations between these frequencies and those of the C-H series. Keywords
