The present paper reports on 13 cases of logorrhea syndrome with or without hyperkinesia, or hyperkinesia without logorrhea, with lesions at various levels of the nervous system. Lesions of the ascending reticular inhibitory system are incriminated. The mechanism producing this syndrome is discussed. Keywords
