An Iterative Method for Restoring Noisy Images

Abstract

An iterative filtering procedure for restoring details in noisefree images based upon an eigenfunction expansion has been developed. This paper extends the theory to include the case where noise is present. A restoring scheme, making use of optical systems with feedback, is examined.
