STUDIES ON FATTY ACID ESTERS OF FLAVINS

Abstract
Fat-soluble riboflavin derivatives, riboflavin-2[image],3[image],4[image],5[image]-tetrapalmitate, -tetracaprate,-tetrabutyrate and -tetrapropionate, were synthesized by esterification of riboflavin with fatty acid chloride or by the reaction of the vitamin with fatty acid anhydride. Their physicochemical properties were reported.
