Abstract
The iron chloride‐catalyzed radical chain addition of carbon tetrachloride to 1,4‐polybutadiene has been studied. Transparent film forming nonflammable polymers are obtained which contain 50–55% chlorine. Cyclization appears to accompany the addition of carbon tetrachloride as an integral part of the radical reaction. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
