Digitonin Precipitable Steroids in Normal Human Urine

Abstract
The digitonin precipitable steroids in a pool of normal adult male human urine following solvolysis were separated and identified. The following compounds (mg/100 1) were identified: 3[beta]-hydroxy-5[alpha]-androstan-17-one 0.5; 3[beta] -hydroxy-[DELTA]5-androsten-17-one (DHA) 265.0; 3[beta],21-dihydroxy-[DELTA]5-pregnen-20-one 9.0; 3[beta],16[alpha]-hydroxy-[DELTA]5-androsten-17-one 28.5; 3[beta] -hydroxy-[DELTA]5-androsten-7,17-dione 5.9; 3[beta],11[beta]-dihydroxy-5[alpha]-androstan-17-one 2.5; 3[beta],16[alpha]-dihydroxy-[DELTA]5-pregnen-20-one 7.5; cholesterol 45.0; [DELTA]5-pregnen-3[beta],20[alpha]-diol38.3; [DELTA]5-androsten-3[beta],17[beta]-diol 37.7; [DELTA] 5-pregnen-3[beta],17[alpha],20[alpha]-triol 78.2; [DELTA] 5-pregnen-3[beta],16[alpha],20[alpha]-triol 2.5; [DELTA]5-androsten-3[beta],16[beta],17[beta] -triol 2.5; [DELTA] 5-androsten-3[beta] ,16[alpha],17[beta] -triol 70.0.
