Abstract
Vital capacities in 60 white and 51 Negro men were compared. They were significantly higher in the white than in the Negro men. The difference of vital capacity between 30 white and 20 Negro women was not significant. Regression equations for the vital capacities of the various groups were calculated. Different regression equations should be applied for white and Negro men. Keywords
