Abstract
A field-theoretic perturbation calculation of hyperon anomalous magnetic moments due to K mesons has been made under the assumption that the coupling constant is small. The effect of baryon and strangeness conservation is to suppress some of the Feynman diagrams that appear in the analogous calculation of nucleon anomalous magnetic moments due to π mesons, and leads to the relation between the anomalous magnetic moments of the Σ hyperons found by Marshak, Okubo, and Sudarshan.
