Abstract
A review on Herpesvirus hominis infections in humans and their possible immunoprophylaxis is presented. The possible humoral, phagocytic or cell-mediated dysfunction in the host with recurrent infection, distinctive neurotrophic character and intraneuronal residence of the virus and the special form of direct cell-to-cell transfer of infective viral particles are discussed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
