Untersuchungen über die Lipasen im Tierorganismus. I. Mitteilung.

Abstract

While subcut. injections of lipase solutions (from hog pancreas) had no effect on the lipase content of guinea pig organs, intraven. injection of lipase approximately doubled the lipase content of rabbit livers. The properties of the lipase from such livers, however, remained those of liver lipase, rather than those of pancreas lipase. The apparent difference between liver and pancreas lipase is, therefore, apparently due to contaminating substances.
