Effects of biotype C greenbug, Schizaphis graminum (Rondani), were assessed on 13 greenbug-resistant and 3 susceptible sorghum hybrids during 1976–77. Split-plot experiments consisting of treatment vs, no treatment of greenbugs were used. Greenbug-resistant sorghum hybrids outyielded susceptible hybrids. In most cases, substantial yield increases were obtained in both greenbug-resistant and susceptible sorghum hybrids as a result of green bug control.
