Vitamin E and Habitual Abortion

Abstract
An analysis of published figures (9 articles). Vit. E is essential for the normal reproduction of mice and rats. In its absence, the rat. guinea pig, rabbit and dog develop muscular dystrophy. It appears to be beneficial for the reproduction of cows and sows, and for the production and hatchability of eggs. It is apparently not essential for normal pregnancy of goats, sheep and rabbits. No conclusion can be drawn as to its indispensability for the human sp., but there is presumptive evidence that it is needed for normal human pregnancy.
