Abstract
Cross sections for production of electronically excited states of CO2+ in low‐energy He2+‐CO2 collisions have been measured. The magnitudes of these cross sections are large enough to suggest the possibility of producing laser action at one or more wavelengths in an e‐beam‐initiated discharge in He‐CO2 mixtures. Keywords
