Abstract
We analyze codirectional and counterpropagating second harmonic generation, degenerate four-wave mixing, and intensity-dependent refractive index phenomena based on surface plasmon polaritons guided by thin metal films. Promising cross sections are predicted for three out of the four cases.Keywords
