COLD HEMAGGLUTINATION IN PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DISEASE

Abstract
All reported cases of cold hemagglutination in association with peripheral vascular disease are reviewed and an additional case presented. The latter is an 18-yr.-old soldier who had Raynaud''s syndrome with cold hemagglutinins in a titer of 1:1792. The titer of the agglutinins was not significantly altered by a course of injns. with killed typhoid organisms. It is concluded that in a small group of cases cold hemagglutinins are a contributory cause of Raynaud''s phenomena and similar peripheral vascular manifestations.
