Abstract
Experimental evidence of the difference between response to live and tape‐recorded oral interpretation of literature is scant. This study yields data indicating that the physical presence of the interpreter adds to the aesthetic response and interest ratings of him by his audience and may affect perceptions of his technique.Keywords
